STATESVILLE, N.C. — Officers arrested a Statesville woman after she cut open a man’s face with a beer bottle.
Iredell County Deputies responded to the area of Buffalo Shoals Road and Inglewood Road on Sunday in reference to an assault. They located the male victim covered in blood with a severe laceration to his left cheek.
The man was transported to Iredell Memorial Hospital to receive medical treatment for a severed artery in his face that was sustained from the assault.
The investigation revealed that Julie Overby had broken a glass beer bottle, cut the victim’s face, and stated she was going to kill him.
Overby has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
