CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is searching for a suspect they say kidnapped an East Mecklenburg High School student Thursday morning.
Police say the incident happened around 7:15am Thursday near the 6400 block of Conference Drive. The victim, a 16-year-old East Mecklenburg High School student, said he was walking to school when a black male forced him into his car at gunpoint, drove to a nearby location, and attempted to assault him.
The victim says he managed to escape and seek help before the assault occurred. The suspect then took off.
Police say the suspect is a black male in his mid-30’s, 5’9,” 200lbs with shoulder length dreads, facial hair and wearing blue jeans, and a black sweat shirt. He was last seen driving a white 4-door sedan, possibly a newer model Chevrolet Impala or Malibu.
