KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Police say a man was arrested for sexually assaulting and attacking a juvenile in Kings Mountain.
Investigators say the juvenile was walking on West Gold Street on Sunday around 2pm when she was attacked from behind.
Police say the victim was able to yell for help and physically fight off her attacker. Kyle Moore, the alleged attacker, is accused of walking away from the victim before he was confronted by several witnesses.
The witnesses reportedly detained Moore until police arrived on the scene. Moore was charged with second degree sexual offense and sexual battery.
He is being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.
