Cruz in Kannapolis: Unite Against Trump
KANNAPOLIS, NC– Senator Ted Cruz’s message to North Carolina voters: unite against Donald Trump to beat Hillary Clinton.
“He is a loud, angry, often profane and cursing voice,” said Sen. Cruz.
Cruz worked through the state Tuesday, ending at Calvary Baptist Church in Kannapolis where he told WCCB Charlotte he’s appealing to North Carolina’s blue collar workers and youngest voters.
“Young people will be standing with us, and we’re seeing that in elections all over the country,” said Sen Cruz.
On stage, hundreds of supporters cheered as he announced the plan:
“We will repeal every word of Obamacare. “We will pass a simple flat tax so every American can fill out his or her taxes on a postcard. We should abolish the IRS. We are going to reign in the EPA and all the Federal regulators that are hammering small businesses,” said Sen. Cruz. “It’s going to be millions of high-paying jobs. It’s going to be wages going up for everybody. It’s going to be young people coming out of school with two, three, four, five job offers.”
Voters question can Cruz steal enough states from Trump to win the Republican nomination.
“That is happening powerfully more and more each and every day,” said Sen. Cruz. “I could not be more encouraged.
Cruz is done in North Carolina for now, Trump will be in Fayetteville Wednesday.
Hillary Clinton will be back in the state Thursday, and Bernie Sanders could be back as well all before voting ends next week.
