UPDATE: Malcolm Hartley and Briana Johnson made their first appearance in federal court today for their roles in the murder of Doug and Debbie London in Lake Wylie.
Attorneys were appointed for them, and they will be back in court Thursday for a bond hearing.
Hartley is the alleged triggerman in the murders, while Johnson is accused of being Hartley’s getaway driver.
LAKE WYLIE, NC– Police arrested two suspects linked to the killing of a Lake Wylie couple back in October, 2014.
Authorities are investigating the two suspects identified as Malcolm Hartley, 22, and Briana Johnson, 18.
Hartley is being detained at Mecklenburg County Jail with the possibility of being transferred to York County Jail where Briana Johnson is being held.
Doug and Debbie London’s bodies were found on October 23rd, 2014 at their home on Tioga Road in Clover, SC, apparent gunshot wounds were the cause of death.
The FBI along with CMPD are assisting the investigation.
