Runway Closed at CLT-Douglas After ‘Mechanical Issue’ with Delta Air Lines Plane

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A runway at Charlotte Douglas is closed after a Delta Air Lines plane suffered a mechanical issue. Medic says no injuries have been reported, and passengers are back in the terminal. The airport is currently working to remove the aircraft and reopen the runway.

As of 10:15 AM, there were 72 delays and 21 cancellations at the airport.
