Mistrail Declared in Boderick Case

CHARLOTTE, NC– A mistrial tonight in the case of a Charlotte man who was representing himself on murder charges.

Todd Boderick is accused of killing his six-month-old daughter Keyoni in 2012.

The judge says the jury pool was tainted after a potential juror accused Boderick of robbing her boyfriend’s house. Prosecutors will now re-try the case as a bench trial.

“We’ll move forward friday morning with a fresh start.” said Superior Court Judge Robert Sumner

Monday, a judge refused to appoint another attorney for Boderick after he fired his first two lawyers.

A third attorney withdrew from the case.
