Booze It And Lose It To Take Effect In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC– Tomorrow is Saint Patrick’s Day, and if your looking to celebrate with a drink, make sure you find a designated driver.

A Booze It And Lose it campaign is underway.

Expect to see extra police officers and State Troopers on the roads.

Police will be looking for impaired drivers at a number of check points with mobile breathalyzers.
“We know folks are going to go out and party and drink, but we want to make sure they make the right decision and not get behind the wheel after they’ve had anything to drink.”

Booze It And Lose it runs through Sunday.

If you’re caught driving drunk in the state of North Carolina you could face a fine as high as 10,000 dollars, plus jail time.
