Wilson gets the all day St. Patrick's Day party all fired up and ready to go at Galway Hooker Pub in Cornelius.
CORNELIUS, N.C. – Looking for a great place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with green beer and lots of fun? Wilson has found it for you. At 8am this morning Galway Hooker Pub opened its doors to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style. Before Rising was over at 9am, the pub was full and the party was hopping.
From a traditional Irish breakfast to green beer and Irish dancers, Galway Hooker Pub celebrate their Irish heritage a little more today than normal. They have been celebrating all week, just getting ready for today.
The pub was originally built in Ireland but was deconstructed, piece by piece and rebuilt at its current location in Cornelius. Named for Galway Bay just off of the west coast of Ireland, Galway Hooker offers authentic Irish food and drink. The building also houses the Lake Norman Comedy Zone.
All through the day today, traditional Irish dancing from Rince Na H’Eireann dancers will entertain at the pub.
Not only will customers celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but they will also be helping to raise funds and awareness for the American Patriot Fund, an organization that provides funding for medical treatment for veterans with PTSD.
