On Saturday Wilson will join the fun in Uptown Charlotte for this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Uptown Charlotte will go green on Saturday for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Charlotte Goes Green Festival. This morning Wilson was joined by some of the parade participants giving us a preview of the fun we will enjoy tomorrow.
The parade kicks off at 11am on Saturday morning with the Ambassador of Ireland, Ann Anderson, the Grand Marshal of the parade. The Charlotte Goes Green Festival hours are 10am until 6pm and features, Irish music and dancers, children’s amusements and of course plenty of food and beverages.
Traditional Irish dancing from the students at Rince Na H-Eireann School of Dance as well as music from the Charlotte Fire Department’s Pipes and Drums Band are only two of the many groups that will appear in the parade or entertain at the festival.
