CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a homicide that happened in south Charlotte on Sunday.
Westover Division patrol officers responded to a person down call for service on Sunday afternoon at the 4800 block of Chastain Avenue. Upon arrival officers located a male behind a building suffering from apparent trauma. The male was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
The identity of the deceased will be released pending family notification.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective.
