CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1315 East Boulevard around 4:40 p.m. on Friday.

The 3-alarm fire was on the roof of an apartment complex in Dilworth. A total of 10 engines and 4 ladders were at the scene as crews worked to control the flames.
Officials say the fire started in the restaurant below the apartments. The fire spread to the roof and all occupants evacuated the building. One firefighter sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
