CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a deadly crash in South Charlotte Saturday morning.
Police responded to the single car crash in the 4100 block of McKee Road just after 4 a.m. Saturday. They say Seok Won Andrew Sung was driving a 2004 Honda Accord with four passengers.
Sung was driving above the 45 mph speed limit, according to police, and lost control of the car in a curve. He over-corrected and slid sideways into the opposing lane and ran off the road hitting a tree on the passenger side.
14-year old Joshua Pang was the front seat passenger and was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
Sung was taken to Carolinas Medical Center and is listed in critical position. The other three passengers were also taken to Carolinas Medical Center where one is listed in serious condition.
