Will McCrory Be Re-Elected?

If you thought the fight over North Carolina’s House Bill 2 was nasty before…. just wait.

The state and the Justice Department sued each other today over the controversial law.

The dueling lawsuits follow a letter sent to Governor Pat McCrory last week by the Feds which said HB2 violated Title Seven of the Civil Rights Act, along with Title Nine of the Federal Education Amendments.

Today was the deadline to respond to that letter.

The Governor says the state’s lawsuit seeks clarity that can only be determined by a judge.
