POLKTON, N.C.– The Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement officers are searching for an an Anson County inmate who escaped early Saturday morning.
Authorities say Kristopher McNeil, 34, was discovered missing just after midnight. Β They believe he scaled the fence at the Brown Creek Correctional Institution.
McNeil was serving a 14-year sentence for second degree murder and was scheduled for release in 2018.
