Wilson’s World: Previewing 2nd Annual Rama Road Elementary Food Truck Rally
Event to benefit the Rama Legacy Scholarship Program.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If you love food trucks, then you need to head to Rama Road Elementary School this Friday evening to enjoy great food and beverages from some of your favorites.
The 2nd Annual Rama Road Elementary Food Truck Rally kicks off at the school on Friday at 5:30pm with food and beverages from some of the best food trucks in Charlotte. The event benefits the school’s Rama Legacy Scholarship Fund.
Fourth graders Joe and Grace joined Wilson at the school’s “news desk” to talk about why they enjoy going to school at Rama Road Elementary and how much fun they have at the food truck rally.
Wilson talked with 4th grade teacher Ms. Maltese who was a past recipient of the Legacy Scholarship on purpose and importance of the scholarship. The Rama Legacy Scholarship Fund was created to support teachers’ pursuits of continuing education and certification.
He was also joined by teachers Ms. Moore, Ms. Gurr, Ms. Hamilton and the school’s assistant Ms. Tucker who is pursuing her degree in education as it was announced by PTA President Laura Caldwell that they were each spring scholarship winners.
The food truck rally includes face painters, games and lots and lots of food. It kicks off at 5:30pm and runs through 8:30pm. Rama Road Elementary is located at 1035 Rama Road in Charlotte.
