Lancaster Police looking for man wanted for murder

LANCASTER, S.C.– A man was shot and killed Saturday in Lancaster, South Carolina, according to Lancaster Police.

Police were called to the 1600 block of the Palmetto Place Apartments around 2:47 p.m. Saturday after reports of a shooting.

Officers found a man with a life threatening gunshot wound when they arrived.  He was taken to Springs Memorial Hospital and later airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center where he died.

Police have identified 28-year-old Rashad Demon Johnson as the suspect and say he is considered to be armed and dangerous.  He is wanted for murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
