CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  The streets in Uptown Charlotte are getting ready for one of Charlotte’s biggest parties, the annual Circle K and Kangaroo Speed Street Festival presented by Coca Cola.  Wilson was at the Circle K on Brookshire Blvd where he was getting the 4-1-1 on this year’s big event.

While at the Circle K Wilson gave away free passes to see The Band Perry  and Chris Young performances on Saturday night at the festival.  He enjoyed hanging out with Polar Pop, finding out more about the PNC Speed Street 5K, the Toyota Camry that Coca Cola will be giving away and hanging out with the ladies of Gal Friday who will be performing on Saturday night.

The Circle K and Kangaroo Speed Street festival gets underway at noon on Thursday.  With vendors covering everything from food and beverages to headache powders, a kid’s zone and music, Tryon Street will be hopping.  Many of the NASCAR drivers will also be at the festival.

With the exception of the Friday and Saturday night music performances, all Speed Street activities are free to the public.

Montgomery Gentry, Chris Young, Gal Friday, Kelli Pickler and The Band Perry will all be performing in the concert area on Friday or Saturday night.  For more information on the concert line-up, click HERE.
