Wilson’s World: Enjoying the Fun Leading Up to the Coca-Cola 600
There is a lot going on at Charlotte Motor Speedway before the big race on Sunday...even a wedding!

CONCORD, N.C. – Wilson was at his home away from home today, Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he was bugging campers and workers. He did however give us a great look at what’s going on at the speedway leading up to this Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600.
Trish Springs and Judy Winkler met Wilson at the gate and offered him a ride in their golf cart. Trish and Judy are just 2 volunteers with the Speedway Children’s Charities that will give fans a ride to the gate. The won’t be charging, but they do accept donations for their charity.
Wilson found that even ladies in high heels enjoy hitting the track at the speedway. That is, the ladies that will be running in high heels on Thursday night in the High Heel Dash to support Motor Racing Outreach. Chef Shawn McFalls showed up with a mouth watering salted caramel Moonpie milkshake. The milkshake kept Wilson occupied with Chef Shawn talked about all of the food choices that will be available at the concessions for fans to choose from.
French Canadian campers Jean Louis Boulay and his fiancee Carole Ouellet met up with Wilson to talk about their love of NASCAR. Jean Louis and Carole will be celebrating both their love of NASCAR and each other when they get married Sunday at the start/finish line at the speedway. Wilson presented the couple with a great wedding present from CMS.
The Liftmaster 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to benefit the National Fallen Firefighers Foundation will be held today (May 26th). Registration begins at 2pm. The climb begins at 5:30pm. For more information go to the NFFF website HERE.
Friday night at the dirt track fans can enjoy watching the dirt fly when the open wheel sprint cars take the track for the Outlaw Showdown. For information on the event, click HERE.
