Man And Juvenile Charged With Breaking and Entering Construction Vehicles

Taylorsville, NC– Two people were arrested after Taylorsville Police noticed a suspicious vehicle on Buffet Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

New-Web-Background-ImageThe vehicle had its lights off and officers noticed a juvenile running toward the woods by the construction equipment. Officers also noticed an adult male walking behind the juvenile.

After asking for identification, officers completed a search of the suspicious vehicle and found marijuana and a marijuana pipe. Officers also found traffic warning triangles and paperwork that belonged to a construction vehicle, along with inspection and registration papers that were registered to a dump truck belonging to the construction company, as well as batteries, tie down chains, and straps.

Michael James Lester II of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with Breaking & Entering
a Motor Vehicle, Larceny after Breaking & Entering, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Multiple Traffic Charges, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The juvenile was charged with Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle and Larceny after Breaking & Entering.

Lester was transported to the Alexander County Detention Center and was issued a $30,000
secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for June 6th in the Alexander County District Court.
