CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The sign that has been a Charlotte landmark for over 40 years is now on sale.
The JFG Coffee sign currently sits on top of VBGB Beer Hall & Restaurant at the Music Factory. A Craigslist ad for the sign was posted on Thursday, along with an asking price of $10,000.
The post reads, “Own a piece of Charlotte history! The JFG sign has been a landmark in the Queen City for over 45 years. For the last 5 years it has sat on top of VBGB at the Music Factory but its coming down soon and it can be yours! We will have it taken down from the roof and ready for pick up. If you’re interested please email us for details!”
Payment software firm AvidXchange acquired the naming rights for the Music Factory back in January. With the name change came news that AvidXchange will lease an extra 25,000-35,000 square feet this year as it expands in the area.
While the connection between the expansion and the sign hasn’t been confirmed, it is a possibility that it this one of the changes being made to the Music Factory.
