The victim in this case has been identified as 18-year-old Jah’Zir Jackson. Police have charged Al-Terrik Bogar, 18, in connection to this shooting.

AL-Terrik Bogar – Discharge Weapon Into Occupied Property – Assault with a Deadly Weapon With Intent To Kill – Attempted Murder
Bogar has been charged with the following:
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury
- Attempted Murder
- Discharging a firearm into occupied property for his actions while shooting the second victim.
CMPD says officers are not currently looking for additional suspects in the case.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say two people were shot in southwest Charlotte late Thursday evening. One victim died from the injuries he sustained in the shooting.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were called to Apex Landing Way near W. Tyvola Road shortly after 11:30pm on Thursday, December 14th.
Upon arrival, officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported by MEDIC to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. One of the victims was later pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives are still investigating and no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
