Electrical Problems Cause Overnight Fire In South Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC – Fire investigators now say an overnight fire in south Charlotte was caused by electrical problems.

The fire started shortly after 1am Thursday at a home on Whitehorn Drive. Officials say the fire started in the attic.

One firefighter was injured. No other injuries were reported.

Investigators say the fire was accidental and that it was caused by electrical problems.

Damages are estimated around $375,000.
