A broad ridge of high pressure causing extreme heat across the Central Plains and Midwest will slide east this weekend. Temperatures over the weekend will near 100 degrees. Hot and humid conditions will make it “feel like” 100-105 outside. Remember to stay hydrated, and stay indoors if possible. These extreme temperatures will last through the early week. Slight relief will come mid-week, but highs will still be in the low 90s.
