LENOIR,NC–Lenoir Police Department arrested a woman accused of stealing money from the City of Lenoir.
Reports say Sherry Nichols worked as a customer service rep for Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Nichols was arrested after investigators learned that she was indeed stealing City funds generated from sales made at the cemetery.
All purchases of lots at the cemetery were accounted for and no cemetery customers lost funds.
Sherry Nichols, 48, was arrested and charged with, larceny by employee in excess of $100,000 and is currently being held on an $50,000 bond at Caldwell County Detention Facility.
