CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are trying to piece together a string of crimes they say are all related and occurred within the past 24-hours in south Charlotte.
CMPD was called to a home on Silver Arrow Drive around 6am Monday after suspects shot into a home and took off. People were inside the house, but officials say no one was injured.
Around 12:30am Tuesday police were called to the residence again after they say four to five suspects broke into the home, shot the dog, and set the house on fire. No one else was home at the time of the break-in.
Police say the dog is expected to live, and the fire was put out before any major damage was done.
Investigators believe the same suspects responsible for those incidents are also responsible for another shooting on Arrowhawk Drive. Police say the suspects shot into an unoccupied vehicle around 12:28am Tuesday.
Officials do not believe these are random acts of violence. The investigations into these three incidents are ongoing.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
