Major Damage After Fire Tears Through Cornelius Home

CORNELIUS, NC — Crews are working to figure out what caused a house fire that broke out early Thursday morning.

The fire happened at a one story home on Sandy Cove Road around 4:40am. When Cornelius fire crews arrived they say flames were coming through the roof.

Huntersville Fire Department responded to assist and is currently on scene monitoring for hot spots.

No word on a cause or if anyone was injured.
