CHARLOTTE, N.C. – There was a lot of fun, laughter, tears and even a kiss or two this morning when Wilson took the show to Great Harvest Bread Company to preview this Sunday’s Animal Kneads Day. From Derek getting a hard time about neutering to Wilson getting a kiss on the cheek, it was an interesting morning.
Wilson was joined by Melissa Knicely with CMPD Animal Care & Control along with Nouri Motameni the new owner of Great Harvest as well as soon to be retired owners Jeff & Janet Ganoung.
This is the 10th anniversary of CMPD AC&C’s Animal Kneads Day with Great Harvest. The event started small but over 10 years the event has grown and allowed Animal Care & Control to raise thousands of dollars to help spay and neuter pets.
Jeff and Janet Ganoung have been owners of Great Harvest Bread Company for 14 years, but they recently decided to retire with new owner Nouri Motameni taking over. Jeff and Janet were surprised by their friends with CMPD AC&C for all of the work they have done with AC&C over the last 10 years.
Later, Wilson even received a surprise of his own when he was thanked by Jeff for his support of the Animal Kneads Day events each year with a kiss on the cheek.
The 10th Annual Animals Kneads Day is this Sunday, August 28th at Great Harvest Bread Company, 6420 Rea Road in Piper Glen. From 10am until 5pm there will be vendors as well as live music and entertainment. Donate $10 for AC&C spay & neuter program and receive a free loaf of bread. Get all the information on Animal Kneads Day HERE. Animal Kneads Day is CMPD AC&C’s largest fund raising event of the year.
