Military Jets Flying Low Over Uptown Charlotte Cause Social Media Frenzy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Military jets flying at a low altitude over Uptown and near Bank of America Stadium caused concern for Charlotte residents.

Many people started posting about the jets on social media Monday morning.  The spokesperson for Charlotte-Douglas International Airport says the military jets were practicing their stadium run.

The communication center for the Charlotte Fire Department also released the following statement: The planes that flew low near Uptown and Bank of America Stadium are U.S. Military jets (A-10s) #NoEmergency
