MINT HILL, N.C. – A man has been arrested in connection with sexual exploitation charges against a minor in Mint Hill.
After an extensive criminal investigation involving The Mint Hint Police Department along with several other law enforcement services, 20-year-old Dylan Mauricette was taken into custody Tuesday January 23rd. According to a police report, Mauricette’s charges reportedly stem from images and videos that were found on multiple electronic storage devices that he possessed.
Police say there is no evidence that any crimes involved direct physical contact with children or with children known to the subject.
Mauricette is charged with four counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Mint Hill Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit says they are vigilant and committed to safeguarding and protecting local communities’ children and youth from those with criminal intent or motives.
Parents are reminded to be vigilant in monitoring their children’s internet activity as well as all of their electronic devices.
