LINCOLNTN, N.C. – NC State Highway Patrol responded to a fatal collision on NC 73 in the early morning of Wednesday, February 7, according to a news release.
The release states that a 2008 Toyota Scion crossed the centerline of NC 73 in Lincoln county and collided with a 2021 Peterbilt tractor-trail, which resulted in the death of Timothy McDaniel, the driver of the Toyota.
McDaniel succumbed to his injuries at the scene and NC State Highway Patrol revealed he was not wearing a seatbelt. Patrol further claimed that the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and that no charges will be filed.
