Hickory Man Sentenced To Prison On Multiple Criminal Offenses
HICKORY, N.C. – A Hickory man will spend six to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple criminal offenses, according to the Catawba County Justice Center.
Latron Edward Clark, 47, pleaded guilty to attempted common law robbery, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and habitual larceny. The sentence was imposed on Wednesday, March 6th.
Security cameras caught Clark taking a lawnmower from a residence on July 14, 2023.
Five days later, a driver gave Clark a ride in his car. While stopped, Clark got out of the car, broke a window and attempted to choke the victim before taking his wallet.
Clark was also seen by security cameras breaking into a business and removing a cash register on October 20, 2022.
Clark received an enhanced sentence due to his prior felony convictions. He was previously convicted for breaking and entering in Wake County in March 2017, May 2010 and September 2005. Additionally, he had four previous convictions for larceny in the same county in May 2010, June 2008, November 2004 and May 2001.
He will serve his sentence in the custody of the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections.
