JAMES ISLAND, S.C. — The funeral for Keith Lamont Scott, the man fatally shot and killed by a CMPD officer in September, has been moved to Friday.
Scott’s funeral will be held on Friday, October 14th at 11am at First Baptist of James Island. It was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.
Scott was killed on September 20th at an apartment complex in northeast Charlotte.
Protests following Scott’s death turned violent and a state of emergency was issued in Charlotte. Scott was 43-years-old.
