CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Detectives with CMPD have arrested a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teacher for taking indecent liberties with a student, according to a news release.
The release states that on March 12, 2024, the Sexual Assault Unit with CMPD was notified of a potential inappropriate relationship between a 17-year-old boy student and a teacher at Harding University High School.
Police say they spoke with the juvenile victim and later with the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant against the suspect at the end of the interview.
On March 13, CMPD say they arrested Jasmine Wooten, 25, and was transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
