SPARTANBURG, S.C. – A man in Spartanburg is facing charges for knowingly filing false felonious police reports, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
Craig Ninja Antonio Brewton, 35, was arrested on Monday, March 11th.
Authorities said Brewton filed two false police reports of a felony violation against a Spartanburg County Deputy. Brewton claimed he was physically and sexually assaulted by a deputy during an arrest on September 19th, 2022 and October 18th, 2023.
An investigation into the matter found that Brewton allegedly made false statements about both incidents.
Brewton faces two counts of filing a false police report for a felony. He is currently booked at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
