Gastonia Police Looking For ATM Armed Robbery Suspect

GASTONIA, NC — Police are looking for the man they say attempted to rob a woman at gunpoint while using an ATM last Friday.

Officials say the incident happened while a woman was using the ATM at the Speedway Gas Station on South York Road. A man came up to her car and attempted to rob her at gunpoint before she sped off.

The victim was not injured and no money was taken.

The suspect was captured on surveillance and is described as being a white male, wearing a black helmet with a ball cap underneath, and seen leaving in a black sedan.
