Cooler & (Eventually) Wetter Days Ahead

Get ready for a messy end to the workweek on Friday.

AM Headlines:
  • Dry, Breezy and Much Warmer Today
  • High Pollen Levels
  • Increased Fire Danger
  • Widespread Rain Friday – Saturday
Discussion:
It will be warmer today with highs reaching the low 70s. Breezy and dry this afternoon with relative humidity levels dropping 20-30%. This will lead to an increased fire danger. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged as fires could get out of control quickly. The warm and breezy weather is also leading to higher pollen counts. Weed and Grass pollen is at a moderate level. Tree pollen is high with pine, oak and birch some of the worst offenders. A dry cold front slides through tonight leading to temps only falling into the low to mid 40s. Highs will be near average tomorrow in the mid 60s. A wedge like pattern sets up Friday. This will lead to cool and cloudy conditions with temps struggling to break out of the 50s. A disturbance in the gulf will bring widespread rain, which could be heavy at times. Rain will stretch through Saturday afternoon before tapering off with 1-2″ of rainfall expected. It will be breezy Saturday night. Drying out Sunday and Monday with highs in the low 60s.
