Update: Four Dead, Including Two Children, In York County Crash

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Four people are dead, two of whom were children, following a deadly collision in Rock Hill on Friday night.

It was originally reported that three people were killed in the crash, but the fourth victim died at the hospital on Saturday afternoon.

The victims have been identified as 39-year-old Kristen Agard, 30-year-old Tionese Crim Hughes, and three-year-old twins Mackenzie and Mariah Hughes.

The crash happened on Saluda Road and East Highway 324. Agard allegedly crossed the center line and hit Hughes’ vehicle, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.

Both drivers died at the scene. One child died while being transported to Piedmont Medical Center. The other was taken to Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte where she later died.

Pathology and toxicology reports will be pending, officials said.

This crash remains under investigation.

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Three people were killed and another was sent to the hospital following a fatal three-car collision near Rock Hill.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd on Saluda Road near SC 324.

Authorities said a 2019 Nissan sedan and a 2018 Chevrolet sedan were heading in opposite directions on Saluda Road when the vehicles collided. This caused the Chevrolet sedan to hit a 2018 Chevrolet SUV.

The driver and a passenger of the Nissan vehicle were killed. Another passenger was injured and transported to a local hospital.

The Chevrolet sedan driver sustained fatal injuries, as well.

The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet SUV were not injured in this crash.

This is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
