After an investigation, CMPD says they have classified this case as a justified homicide and no charges will be filed.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is conducting a homicide investigation in north Charlotte after an overnight shooting left one person dead.
It happened around 1 a.m. on Arvin Drive near Statesville Road. Officers responded to the area after receiving a call about an assault with a deadly weapon.
There, police say they found one person with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are speaking to a person of interest but have not made any arrests at this time.
