Wilson’s World: Previewing Garinger High School’s New Drama Production

Drama productions return to the stage at Garinger High School after 10 years.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  It has been almost a decade since Garinger High School had a production from their drama department on their stage.  This week, actors, dancers and behind the scenes technicians will once again take to the stage so Wilson stopped by the school to support these excited students.

The production “Anansi the Spider: a Trickster’s Courtship” is a comedic adaption of an African folktale and is a wonderful piece for kids of all ages.  Garinger’s new theater department was joined by the visual art and dance departments to bring the show to life.

Wilson enjoyed talking with the students and teachers who are helping to bring this show to the stage and is encouraging everyone to attend one of the performances either on Thursday, October 27th or Friday, October 28th.  Doors open at 7pm with the curtain going up at 7:30pm.  Tickets are only $5.00.  Garinger High School is located at 1100 Eastway Drive in Charlotte.
