Salisbury Police Department Investigating Two Homicides

SALISBURY, N.C. – Two separate homicide investigations are underway in Salisbury that occurred on April 13 and 14, according to a news release.

The release states that police arrived at Novant Hospital on April 13 in reference to someone being brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound. Officers say they identified the victim as Shaleek Williams, 26, and determined he was shot at a memorial service. Williams succumbed to his injuries at Presbyterian Hospital.

On April 14, officers say they were dispatched to Old Wilkesboro Rd in reference to a shooting and found Alyssa Salter, 21, with a gunshot wound. Salter succumbed to her injuries at Baptist Hospital, as said in the release.

Salisbury Police Department has said that no arrests have been made, but are investigating both cases.
