Multiple Reports Of Tornadoes In Iowa

Sirens blared in Iowa on Tuesday, April 17th, as a tornado watch was issued across the state. It has since expired. Video appears to capture what looks to be a funnel cloud off in the distance. Strong storms caused damage in parts of the central United States on Tuesday. Those storms spawned tornadoes in both Kansas and Iowa. Two people were hurt by one of the tornadoes. An F-1 tornado touched down shortly after 6 a.m. near the northeastern Kansas town of richland according to the National Weather Service. The twister reached speeds of up to 100 mph and was on the ground for about 20 minutes.
