The Black Card Experience: A Soft Launch For Charlotte’s Exclusive Event Membership

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – “Elevating the Charlotte experience, that’s what we’re aiming to do,” says Sam Polley AKA Mr. Splash Of Class (SOC), the creative director of Charlotte’s newest socialite platform. The Queen City is in for an exciting summer as Charlotte Black Card (CBC) is prepping to be the city’s favorite source for outings and entertainment.

The private membership will provide Charlotte residents access to exclusive events, networking opportunities, and benefits with partners and concierge for its members.

The company held its first mixer in April to kick off the spring season with warm cheers and a push for community and connection. With a “one of a kind” experience, CBC was successful in its goal to cultivate an impactful environment for attendees to experience an introduction as new members.

Upon entering the venue, guests verified their status by making sure their names were on the exclusive VIP list. The hostess’ eyes were kind and voices welcoming as they directed guests up the stairs to the party.

The bass of the music met the footsteps of guests as the reached the top of the staircase. The sounds from the DJ booth mixed by DJ Pers3vere created an aura that spread through the bar where specialty cocktails were crafted, through the booths where guests sat mingling, to the balcony as a photographer snapped black carpet photos.

The Black Card Experience echoed to passer-byers, sending whispering invitations to those in question. The event was open to all, and last minutes invites didn’t hesitate to attend.

“I just met him today,” says CBC’s Creative Director Sam Polley as he points to a new friend, Amir. Amir is a chef who recently launched a new line of hot sauce as part of his small business. It is interactions like this that CBC wants to continue to spread. To highlight the culture and talents found within the residents who walk the streets of the QC.

The event was rich in culture with guests from all around the country exchanging stories of how they found themselves as transplants in Charlotte. One could say that the new members of CBC understood the assignment, because the standards of style seemed to be held to an all time high. Clean cut pant suits, blazers and dresses were styled. The guests matched the curators of the event with an overall sense of “polished” echoing through the venue.

Polley approaches the mic, as the face of CBC, stands in front of the crowd and speaks kind and confidently, thanking the guests, vendors, and the behind the scene helpers who brought the event together.

“You are all special to us,” Polley says warmly. His speech and this event marked the first of many with Charlotte Black Card and one last reminder to the attendees that they are the priority. Polley ends his speech with a toast that will become the catch phrase of CBC known by all, “VIP Always!”
