CMPD Provides Shopping Safety Tips

CHARLOTTE, NC– You want to make sure that all those great deals you grab make it home and to their spot under the tree.

Criminals are also looking for a shopping steal during the holiday season.  Crimes like theft from vehicles and robbery often spike this time of year.

These are crimes of opportunity… And there is more of that with so many people out shopping… Extended hours for stores… And crowded parking lots.

CMPD say you need to be aware. They are increasing patrols around malls and shopping centers during the holidays.
