Much Needed Rain, Unsettled Through Wednesday Night

Tuesday will remain cloudy with on and off periods of rain during the morning with only light showers expected during the afternoon and evening. In addition to the rain, strong winds and mild temperatures are expected throughout the day. Another round of heavy rain will develop late Tuesday night and gradually work its way from the mountains through the region during the day Wednesday. Heavy rain during the morning north and west of Charlotte will overspread Uptown and eastern communities during the afternoon and evening. Rain totals through Wednesday night will range from 2-5 inches in the mountains to under an inch in and around Charlotte. Sunshine will return Thursday and Friday.
