Splendid Stretch Ahead
Humidity levels climb ahead of Sunday's cold front, but quickly fall behind it.
Our second weekend of June is off to a wonderful start, but we’ll want to watch for a few strong storms on Sunday as a cold front approaches from the west. A majority of our area may not even see rain, but those that do may be greeted with gusty winds and small hail, as well. Highs will approach 90° in the Queen City ahead of Sunday’s system, a number Charlotte has yet to crack in 2024. A brief spike in humidity accompanies Sunday’s storms before taking another dive by the start of the workweek. Overnight lows into Monday morning will bottom out in the 50s and lower 60s.
The first three days of the workweek ahead look fantastic. Highs will top out in the 70s and lower 80s across the board to go along with plentiful sunshine. Dew points and rain chances steadily rise into Thursday and Friday as some tropical energy heads our way from the south.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Mild. Low: 65°. Wind: SW 5-10.

Sunday Night: Clouds and a storm early, then clearing. A bit cooler. Low: 62°. Wind: NW 5-10.
