Tourists Find Diverse Flavors At 25th Taste Of Charlotte Festival

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte’s biggest food festival, Taste of Charlotte, is back for its 25th year bringing food, music, and fun to Uptown.

Thousands of people have moved in and out of Uptown this weekend for a taste of the many food options Charlotte has to offer. The City’s annual food festival offers menu items from more than 40 local restaurants, giving a sample of the many flavors that make up the queen city.

Some traveled to Charlotte just for this festival from places like Columbia, Augusta, and even Louisiana. Alexiz crossed state lines from South Carolina all for a day of eating and drinking with friends.

“It definitely brings to the attention that there is a lot of food diversity in Charlotte,” Alexiz said. “It brings in a lot of business in the area.”

She visits Charlotte often and believes the City is a melting pot of cultures, which shows in the food and drinks being served at this weekends festival.

The event is set to end Sunday at 6 P.M. Until then admission is free and coins to buy food and drinks can be bought at the festival on Tryon Street.
