One Injured In Overnight Shooting In Southeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person was seriously injured and taken to the hospital following a shooting in southeast Charlotte overnight.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on East Independence Boulevard.

One person sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to Novant Presbyterian with life-threatening injuries, according to Medic.

No information on the shooter or what led up to the shooting has been released.
