Carolina Panthers Could Get New Stadium By 2046

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – On top of renovations to Bank of America Stadium, the City of Charlotte will discuss Monday the possibility of building a new football stadium for the Carolina Panthers by 2046.

The City of Charlotte and Tepper Sports & Entertainment have until April 1st, 2037 or before then to begin negotiations for a new stadium.

“The City of Charlotte and TSE will commence good faith negotiations regarding the design and construction of a new stadium to be located in the City of Charlotte that would be completed in time for the 2046 season. In furtherance of such good faith negotiations, the parties understand the need for potentially new funding sources. The parties will negotiate the use of hospitality funds for the purposes of studies and analysis regarding a new stadium.

Friday’s announcement was made before the city council meeting next Monday to discuss the $650 million project to renovate Bank of America Stadium. A potential new stadium will be part of the discussion in Monday’s meeting.

The renovation is expected to enhance the fan and player experience, modernize infrastructure, and continue to drive billions in economic impact for the city, according to the press release. For more information, click HERE.
