LAKE PARK, N.C. (AP) — The Union County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the person who was found dead Monday night.
Officials say James Hudspeth was found behind a church Monday evening in Lake Park.
Investigatiors say Hudspeth went jogging Monday morning and did not return home.
Family members said Hudspeth did not take his wallet and cellphone. Deputies had started searching Monday afternoon and found the body around 6:30 p.m. behind Faith United Methodist Church.
Sheriff Eddie Cathey said deputies also are waiting for the medical examiner to determine the cause of death.
